Shoes in the Curve category can be described as having active rocker bottoms and are an improvement of Karl Müllers MBT concept. MBT shoes feature a ridgid shank, whereas Joya Curve shoes are constructed using soft PU. This material allows the foot to guide the shoe, improving torsion movement.

In addition the Activator provides an anterior-posterior balance movement to train the back muscles whilst standing, and provides relief of the plantar fascia. The Activator is longer and higher on the medial side to provide arch support. We recommend using this shoe as a training device, building up to everyday use during the initial wear in period.
